Christopher Columbus had three ships on his first voyage, Niña, Pinta and Santa Maria. Columbus sailed out of Palos de la Frontera on 3 August 1492. His flagship, the Santa Maria, had 52 men on board, while his other two ships, the Nina and the Pinta, were each occupied by 18 men.
Thus history becomes alive and touchable.
