This is a whimsical 28mm model of a very real WW2 Polish hero, Wojtek. His story is so incredible, he deserves his special place in history, and I feel on the Bolt Action and other miniature gaming tables.
Wojtek's story is briefly described here :

I started with a 28mm file (accredited); i crafted a Brodie helmet and the howitzer shell from Tinkercad. Please don't be deterred by my weak painting skills; I always figure from 24" when gaming no one will notice.
Although the real Wojtek didn't crew a gun, he was a Gunner and a member of the Artillery. I am sure had he the opportunity, he would have gladly crewed a gun. I plan on using him as a gun team member.
Personally, I think Wojtek deserves a "special character" status in Bolt Action; and any enemy unit attempting to assault the gun must pass a morale check at a -2; seriously, if you saw this bear would you want to go engage in hand to hand combat?
Again, I did for both for fun but also to signify this incredible creature and his representation of the courage and tenacity that is Poland.
