Hypnos, Roman replica of an original, from the end of the 4th century BC, Italy, marble. Musée du Cinquantenaire (Brussels, Belgium). Made with CapturingReality.
This statue represents the god of sleep, who rushes out at dusk, holding a horn in his right hand, pouring the drops of water of Lethe on mortals to put them to sleep. His head had wings of a night owl.
