I had 3 flags: US, State of OH, and Honor and Remember, http://honorandremember.com/, but I only had 2 poles for my HD. I went on-line and they wanted $25 for just the pole mount. I designed this to fit a tubing-based luggage rack.
In the picture you can see I used the 1/2” wide and tall back to front mount on my HD Fatboy.
I used a 1/8” drill to finish the hole in the top pieces and as far as it would go in the middle and top pieces of pole tubes.
I then put a 5/32” threaded rod in a drill and threaded the mount top and middle and top pole parts onto the rod. The top pole did fit into drill chuck, but run it slowly for poles as to not melt filament. This rod was for strength.
Parts I used:
3mm Allen head screws, top has indents for them.
3mm Nylon lock nuts bottom has indents for them.
5/32” by 24” threaded rod cut to length.
Black wire tie for top pole, flag stop.
