This design is based on the Sketchup file available in the Sketchup Warehouse. I have (without success) attempted to contact the originator of the work, but they did make it public and I'll take it off if requested to.
This will find any deficiencies in your printer's setup.
It needs re-mixing, but I don't have time to: the way Netfab closed the aftmost part of the craft is a bit odd and needs tweaking; a couple of pegs and holes wouldn't go amiss.
Gcode file is quite big - lots of detail.
Still a work in progress - the stand certainly is!
Printer:
Anet A8
Rafts:
No
Supports:
Yes
Resolution:
0.16mm
Infill:
10%
Filament: Lillyvale PLA Red
Notes:
To fit a printer with a bed 220 x 200, scale the two main parts to 20%.
A quick-and-dirty replacement radar dish is included as a file and is best printed with the concave side down.
Best printed so the cut faces are down (on the bed).
It takes a long time to print (and a lot of filament)
As well as taking a long time to print, I spent quite a while picking out bits of support with a dental pick:
The 'guns' at the side will break off. After a lot of attempts at printing replacements, I just glued on a couple of nails (!)
The radar dish is very fine and won't survive the removal of the support.
After gluing them together, I just used some model-filler to close the small gap between the two halves.
Acrylic paint, colour-wash and charcoal dust.
I chopped it in half with FreeCad and use Netfab to make it solid.
Radar dish and stand created in Fusion 360.
