Decided I wanted a lantern for our tabletop game - Shadows of Brimstone.
After designing it, I decided to provide glass for both wire rings around the lantern and without. In my picture you can see that there are rings that need to be painted on the lantern. I think it would be just fine without them though.
Printed the glass in ESun Natural PLA
Prints just fine at .2mm.
I used 400grit sandpaper on the lantern globe and 220 grit on the parts to clean them up.
After sanding and painting, I put the whole thing together with Gorilla Super Glue.
Make sure the notches for the handles are lined up on both top and bottom pieces so the handles will fit properly.
Make sure you print using a brim for the handles, hanger and top cap.
I made this in 3Dcoat for printing. I absolutely love that program.
