The Cobra STUN from the class of 1986. The file was created full scale from the actual toy and is optimized for printing at 25%. Unless you stay in that range your print may have too much or too little detail. My finished model weighs 15 grams so it cost me about 32 cents for the material to print it.
This file is free to download but please note that it is listed as non-commercial because this is a copy of intellectual property I do not own. As such neither you nor I are allowed to sell physical copies of this 3-D model. You are allowed (and encouraged) to print copies for your own personal use. ‘Makes’ are appreciated, and they don’t have to be painted.
The wheels are printed with the "hubcaps" up, no support.
The side cannons should be printed horizontally with support. The guns barrels won't break as easily.
The chassis printed right-side up with support.
You have two options for the crew compartment - print as one piece. Or, print as a left and right half. On the real toy the crew compartment is hinged but this model does not have a provision for that, you'll have to figure that out for yourself; it didn't matter that much to me.
I did not have the tail gun from the real toy so I imrovised.
Thanks to Chris for loaning me his original, saving me a lot of time and resulting in a more accurate model.
As always, much respect and gratitude to past and present members of our Armed Forces. You are the “Real American Heroes” and your sacrifice allows people like me to live in peace, freedom and make silly little toys like these.
