This is my first attempt at making a prop kit so there are many inaccuracies. I was graciously provided annotated photos of a prop and I plan to make a more accurate version and one with cavities to install electronics.
The phaser is scaled to my hands, which are quite bulky. The actual prop is measured at 9.6 inches whereas this one measures 10.5 inches. You might want to scale this kit down by 5% or 10%.
Tolerances are pretty tight so expect a lot of sanding and fudging. I also tried to design the Type-1 phaser grid to flip up with a turn of one of the thumb wheels. My design was kind of lacking so there were some issues with the prototype I printed so if you want the grid to flip It will require a lot of work on your part. If you are not feeling brave you can just glue the grid into place.
Ifyou are going to use for cosplay I recomend adding some reinforcement to the "Handle" and "Back" pieces.
Since this is my first posting to Thignyverse please let me know if there are any issues with the STL files. I will try to correct them as soon as possible.
