This is a remix of Chess Board thing by TwistedDaylight. I liked the design and I thought it could be easier to print and would be more substantial.
I had a few issues with getting it all to fit. I had to resize the yellow tiles so they would fit in the board sections. Then after printing two part 1's and the first part 2 of the board I realized they didn't fit together. I didn't want to scrap the whole thing so I set about resizing the tabs on part 2 of the board so it would fit after printing without any sanding or cutting of the parts. To do this I created a small section (the cut copy) that I used to get the right size. Then I printed two new part 2 sections and finally got it all to fit.
So here is what I recommend: You might want to print a calibration cube before you start to check your printer.
Print part 1.
Print a tile to make sure it fits and resize as necessary (can scale X & Y in slicer but leave Z alone).
print the small test piece (cut copy). If it fits you are in business. If not get out your 3D modeling program and resize the tabs slightly.
I glued the tiles on, but if you do, DO NOT glue the ones next to the tabs or they won't go together.
