So I fell in live with this artwork by KohLJ
https://kheljay.artstation.com/projects/DnOKe
And started making a printable figure for tabletop.
He stands on a 50mm diameter base, and the character should be scaled for 28mm gaming (he's tall (approx 48mm) but he's special.
started in october, and built it with bitz from here and there, from many characters3d models that i cut and remixed and resculpted.
some parts were completely created from scratch (lance, shoulderpads, pelt robes, crown, armour details...)
I want to thank all you guys from the 40k makers discord for your support, special thumbs up to Valandar for the flames sculpting tips.
The wings from xiaoxunyue2016 are just wonderful and fit perfectly for this glorious boy. I just had to make the missing parts that was cut.
Once again i did all the job in Meshmixer. I learned many techniques along the process, so everything is not perfect but heh it's a free model.
I probably forgot to quote some source models, but there are so many different ones i can't remenber.
I printed a prototype in FDM (0.25mm nozzle and 0.08mm layers), it works; wings are printing at the moment...
Future updates :
wings without cherubs ---> done
classic boots (no bird toes)
no mask with angelic face
no mask with serious face
18/12/2018 : Updated the body with a smaller head
Glory to the emperor and may the "angel" rest in peace.
if you print it, share a make; if you like it and wish to support me, send a tip ;)
