This is a modification to the Dreadnought Class ship seen in the Starblazers/Space Battleship Yamato cartoon series.
Unlike rebuilt ocean vessels refit to fly in space, this one is symmetrical owing to it being a space only design. It also means that either side of the ship can be "up" at any time.
