My wife has long wanted a good BJD for an art reference. Gavitka's was the first I'd come across that was what she was looking for. It was a VERY good model but It didn't seem very printable without an SLA or dual extruder+HIPS or a lot of elbow grease. She also wanted a few adjustments. So I made this. It's meant to be done in 5 prints. Each piece is split and oriented to print with no supports and then be bonded together (I use ABS and acetone).
You will have to copy and mirror the arm bits and the leg bits to get rights and lefts of each, and unfortunately, I was not organized enough to keep each consistent, so you'll have rights and lefts in the same print. so I apologize for that.
the changes to the model are as follows:
Shortened abdomen to try to adjust proportions and allow for more mobility(there's an original version as well)
removed some particular details from the chest section
adjusted legs so that they nest better in order to achieve a better kneel pose.
adjusted joints on ankles, ponytail, and... one other part that I forgot what it was.
I think one more thing that I can't remember.
Thanks to Gavitka, you clearly put a lot of work into this and I appreciate it.
