This is a transformable Optimus Prime figure that prints in one piece. No assembly required! It stands over five inches tall and has a trailer when in truck mode (subspace storage not included). No support material is required to print. This makes cleaning the final product easy, and means you can transform it right off the build plate! Overall I am very pleased with how this turned out. Watch out for a Megatron coming soon because Optimus needs someone to keep him company.

Notes:
I printed the trailer at .3 mm layer height for speed. Print resolution doesn't really matter as much for the trailer because it has no moving parts. Optimus Prime, however, needs fairly high accuracy in his print or his joints will fuse. I printed him at .2 mm layer height at around 60mm/s print speed and 120mm/s travel speed with the extruder at 120 degrees.
Optimus will need to be reoriented with his back laying on the build plate. He will also probably need to be scaled by 1000% in the slicer.
The trailer will need to be reoriented upside down in the slicer and will probably need to be scaled by 1000% as well.
I went through three iterations to get all the joints to work properly. For the most part, its design is based off of the orginal G1 toy.
