This is our next-to-last paintbrush holder maybe. This one just holds a few, with a large "dish" and retaining wall on the top piece for really big stuff. There are just four brush-sized slots that'll hold brushes, many sizes of pens (but not really fat ones), etc. and as always, the 1/2" ID copper tube can hold brushes/pencils or be filled and capped.
