3D printed on an industrial SLS 3D printer.

Post-Printing

Wooden handle was dyed brown.

SLS is porous so we can dye parts.

Spray Paint other parts

- Spray can Primer, sanded back, then primer again for a good finish. - Then multiple light coats of main paint. Gold for the brass and chrome for the metal, weathering later will dull it down. - A green paint was mixed for the 'glass' part and a professional spray gun used.

Weathering

Watered down acrylic black and brown paints were used for a rusty/dirty look to it. To add a gradient to the glass some black was added into the mix of spray gun paint and a light dusting.

Jubilee Clip + Bandage

Both of these are real. I've weathered the jubilee clip with brown paint, I will probably weather the bandage at some point.

How I Designed This

SolidWorks

A model was first created in SolidWorks using images as guides.

Blender

The wooden handle was exported as STL from SolidWorks and imported into blender where I added the creases to look like wood.
