This is the ChanceVought Revenant MKV for the game Crimson Skies.
The Revenant MKV is the luxury line for air bravados, as the commercials in the radio say, if you ask for the price, this plane isn't made for you
This design is light and slick, it includes ejector seat, and 4 low speed .60 caliber machineguns linked to make a very characteristic putt-putt-putt-putt noise (which counts in-game as 2 .60, see attached specs in PDF)
Remember you can leave a tip for the zeppelin crew here: Beer for the crew
Creating Crimson Skies planes for 3D printing is something that no-one has done previously. And it is a shame as the planes are pretty iconic and after many years from it discreet publishing, FASA's Crimson Skies still has a lot of fans who play or are willing to play from time to time.
I started this for testing the VR modelling tool Gravity Sketch, and I found that work flow is so quick that a new plane can be created from zero in almost an hour. First I made the Fury (the one I like most), and the results for it and the Peacemaker were so good that I finally am willing to complete the full series (basic box plus the Balmoral).
In the end... I'll have a good bunch of pieces just to frankenbuild almost any flying perversion just by dragging and dropping! XD
It is not designed to be printer friendly, but it is coming out perfect with resin printers and pretty good in FDM (I suggest to print them vertically with supports growing from the tail).
Honk if you're a Crimson Skies fan!!
