Total length is about 11½ inches
The text on the blade says "ᛒᚱᛂᚿᛐᛆᚦᚱ ᛋᛆᚴᛋᚿᛁᚠᚱ᛬" (prentathr saksnifr) which is old norseified Icelandic, in a mix of younger futhark and medieval runes. it means "printed seax knife".
