Printer Brand:
Wanhao
Printer:
Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus
Rafts:
No
Supports:
No
Resolution:
.1 mm layer height for best results
Infill:
30% this is critical that you make it at least 30 percent
Notes:
I printed this on a monoprice maker select plus (a rebrand of the wanhao, identical printer)
if you want to speed up print time, keep the outer layer slow, so it looks good, but increase the fill print speed.
IMPORTANT: you MUST have AT LEAST a .8mm shell thickness or the supports will fuse with the model! (need the model to be strong enough that when the supports are removed they dont take some of the model with them)
for scale, the model is ~115mm tall including base (4.53 in) i would strongly recommend not printing this any smaller, there are already very small and fragile features as it is. i can make a version with thicker supports so it can be printed smaller if requested, but it may take me some time to get to it.
just a pliers and a flush cut to remove any stringing and the break-away supports. be careful removing supports, the model has many detailed and thin features. especially with the hair
this is a scan of an MMD model that posed and edited and made print ready with pmx editor and meshmixer. i also did a lot of smoothing, the scan had sharp polynomials and edges. The hair was a mess to fix, and lots of work in meshmixer was required. i spent a solid 8 hrs working on this model.
consider donating please, it really helps me stay motivated to keep spending the time to take pictures and post these :) thanks
